Hawaii Bike Tours
Hawaii has several bike tour companies that offer tours of the islands, especially Maui, where people enjoy biking down Haleakala at the rate of over 400 per morning. This is a great way to experience the great outdoors that Hawaii has to offer and the most diverse ecological location in the world. The only climate Hawaii does not have that is present in the world is the polar cap. Going on a bike tour allows you to experience most of these climates.
Maui Downhill Bike Tours
Maui Downhill is one of the largest and most popular companies that features the Haleakala downhill tour at sunrise. It offers two different tours that feature Haleakala's sunrise, the Classic Sunrise and the Super Sunrise. All of their tours are down Haleakala's slopes and minimize the amount of time that you have to spend pedalling. Just hop on and let the mountain cruise you down to your ending location. This tour is one of the most popular and is offered by nearly every bike tour company on Maui, so shop around to find the one that is best for you.
Orchid Isle Bicycling
Orchid Isle offers bike tours on Big Island and is not as popular as the Haleakala downhill bike tours, but it is one of the most friendly companies that you will find. They offer several tours, including an Alii tour which you get to design yourself. Their tours are $125 per person, but they only have to have 2 people to make a group. They have tours that are for the experienced or less experienced cyclists, so they have something for you, no matter what your skill level as long as you have some skill. Beginners should learn how to ride a bike elsewhere.
Aloha Bike Tours
Aloha Bike Tours is another good bike tour company and works on Maui. They are owned by a couple and state on their website that they offer the "best in equipment, food and service." Fifteen percent of their customers are repeat customers, which gives them one of the best return rates of all the bicycle touring companies. They are also one of the cheapest, and if you book online, you will only spend $100 per person. Their tour includes wine tasting, a continental breakfast, a deli style lunch, ride at your own pace, and tour van support. This is by far the best ride for the money that you will find on Maui.
